Distance Covered:

Went to cockerham sands beforehand and was gusting up to 35. Jeff arrived and suggested we went round the corner to Glasson where the river would be more flatter.
First of all rigged the old 3.8m sail ive never used before. Spent ages trynna rig the old small sail and yanked loadsa outhaul to get a nicer shape to the sail and managed to snap the rope. Spent ages trynna sort out a new rope and eventualy got the thing rigged and just as I was about to go on the water, the wind dropped quite a bit as Jeff couldn't get going on his 3.5 and wave board.
Rigged the 4.7 instead and got out there. Was perfect to start with with some mad speed runs on the flat water and then the wind got gusty and kept dropping to 15mph at some points and then some strong squalls came through. Managed a further 4 water starts today whihc I was real happy with and Im finding them much easier now. Came in as the wind had dropped completely at the end and as I was derigging, the wind filled back in again to a steady 25 - 30mph.
Good session though
